Accommodation Summary

Winnow Cottage offers the perfect rural retreat in the tranquil village of Wardlow, Nr. Bakewell. The cottage is a 250 year old converted cow byre sensitively renovated to incorporate many of the original features including beamed ceilings. The barn conversion which is newly renovated offers luxury accommodation for 4 people.

In the lounge area there are 2 Italian leather 2 seater settees and a lovely window seat. In addition to central heating additional heating is provided by a French style cast iron electric stove. A colour TV with freeview and DVD is also provided.

The fully fitted kitchen has an eye- level electric double oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Attractive terracotta tiled floor with ample space for the dining table and chairs.

Attractively fitted out with full suite in white, the bathroom comprises a bath with a Mira shower over, toilet, washbasin and WC. There is a heated towel rail and ceramic tiled floor.

Bedroom 1

A lovely, spacious, double aspect room with a double glazed safety glass feature wide door which provides amazing views over the village and the Peak District beyond. This door also opens onto the external stone steps.

This bedroom sleeps 2 in a large double bed that can be split to make twins if required (as illustrated above).  A cot can be arranged on request.

Bedroom 2

A charming room with the original ‘A’ frame feature beam to the ceiling. There is one sturdy adult bunk bed in this room.

All bedrooms have wardrobes, chest of drawers, bedside cabinets and towel rails

The cottage is centrally heated throughout with constant hot water.

Your stay at Winnow Cottage includes electricity, gas, bed linen and towels.

Dishwasher tablets are provided.  A small selection of DVD, CD, games and books are also available.

To make your stay even easier why not order with Tesco online (www.tesco.co.uk) and have your groceries delivered straight to your door.  PLEASE NOTE that you must be available to take the delivery.

OUTSIDE
The property opens onto the courtyard with a small raised patio area.  This offers breathtaking views over open fields and the Peak Park beyond.  Garden furniture and a BBQ are provided.  There is a detached stone outbuilding providing ideal storage for bicycles or walking attire.  Off-road parking is provided for two vehicles.  Parking in the courtyard is allowed for unloading/loading only.
