Out and about in the Peaks

Winnow Cottage is situated in the lovely hamlet of Wardlow, a traditional Derbyshire farming village.  The local farmer still delivers his own milk.  Driving through the village usually involves a meeting with one or more tractors!  The cottage is situated in a lovely courtyard setting offering amazing views over the surrounding countryside and the Peak District beyond.  There is a pub at the bottom of the village and a cafe offering a good breakfast.  The amazing Monsal Dale is literally 2 miles up the road.  You can enjoy a pint and a bite here whilst taking in the breathtaking views.

The nearest town with supermarket shopping and Farmers market is Bakewell, 5 miles from the cottage through Ashford- in- the- Water.  Monday hosts the excellent and popular outdoor Market.
